My little posers

I HAD to get my camera out because it was starting to collect dust. Things have been so crazy and I needed to make some time for a little photo fun! I asked the kids if they would come out in the backyard and play with me and they all wanted to "pose" for the camera.

Brooklyn was the funniest because she usually hates the camera and she kept saying, "mom take a picture of this face!"

And of course Brandon had to pose next to his bat...he is SO excited to start playing baseball!

into the wilderness...

Explored a new part of our backyard wilderness the other day. Everyone had to start off by finding a stick of course...I love that we live by this area!

Had to take this pic...Brooklyn was so mad that she couldn't climb up on the gigantic rock too! I did help her up after snapping the pic LOL

Wild Animals

Since the last week has been filled with sick kids, laundry, sick parents, more laundry and all kinds of potty training issues...I decided to just post some pictures of our fun trip to the wild animal park.

We went a few weeks ago when the kids were off of school. Our passes are about to expire so I wanted to get in another visit or two. It was a fun day and we enjoyed walking around and seeing all the animals.

Mom Math

1 three year old + throwing up 6 times = 3 loads of laundry, 5 outfit changes, 2 baths, 1 shower, mopping the floor 2 times and almost every towel in the house! Factor in that it was all done in the late evening and middle of the night and it adds up to 1 REALLY SLEEPY MOMMY!!

Sick one seems to be feeling better this morning but still really weak! Poor little thing hasn't had much to eat or drink. Add this to all her poop issues this week and I am just about ready to buy her a new digestive system!

Now it's time to get all three ready so that we can get the older kiddos to school. I'm hoping to come back home and just nap on the couch. I'm also praying that it doesn't domino through the rest of the family.

Photography blog

Just in case you didn't notice the new link to my photography blog, I figured I would put a post up to explain. I am going to keep this blog up as our family blog. I always have pics, stories and other randomness that I will continue to post here. But I am going to take all of my posts that are photography related and put them in a blog of their own. If you love looking at pics, enjoy. If not, then I'm sure you will appreciate it being in it's own seperate place and not clogging up our family blog :o)

Little B

Well the "big" kids are back in school so it's back to me and Little B in the mornings. When she's not sassing it up, she's a fun girl to hang out with.

Today I was trying to take a pic of myself so that I could update all my profile pics. On a side note I HATE taking pics of myself...trying to figure out how to focus and running back and forth from the camera to my spot was a HUGE pain in the butt!! Plus seeing a pic of me without the camera in front of my face reminds me that I am getting OLD!

Anyways, Miss B would be my subject to focus on and then I would kick her out of the pic. This sounds cruel, but if you know Brooklyn, she HATES me taking her pic. Well wouldn't you know it she just kept scooting her little bottom right next to me. So we took some pics together :o)

Yes, I know that I should have been inside getting my monstrous pile of clean folded laundry put away or sweeping up the floor...but isn't it important to have a recent picture attached to your profiles of various websites *LOL*

No laptop under the tree...

But I'm starting to realize that I really don't NEED a laptop! My blogging will probably continue to be sporadic since the computer is tucked away upstairs in our den. For now I have an hour before my man returns from work and the kids are content playing up here with me (dare I even say it). So I'm going to attempt to do some catch-up blogging *LOL*

We had a great Christmas and got to see a lot of family and friends. Brian was rained out of work so it felt even more like Christmas vacation! We went to Disneyland on the 23rd so we could use up our Disney dollars before they expired. For the first time ever we did Disneylany with NO stroller! I was hesitant to the idea, but it was great...Daddy had to carry Brooklyn and the backpack since he was the one with the "no stroller" idea ;o) We stayed all day and the kids were SO well behaved! They even went on Thunder Mountain with Daddy...although they decided they don't want to ride it again until they are 12 and Brooklyn was mad because she was 3 inches too short to ride. By the days end we had only spent $0.70 of our own money...nothing like a free trip to the magic kingdom!

Christmas Eve we headed in to orange county to celebrate with Grammy and Grandpa. We had our annual chili (so yummy) and the kids got to see their cousin. They had so much fun playing and really enjoyed all of the great presents they got.

Christmas morning Daddy made a cozy fire and we opened presents from each other. Then we headed out to my sister April's house for brunch with family. All of the kids had their cute matching jammies on (thanks Auntie Amanda)...but did not want to take a picture together!

Before Brian had to go back to work we headed up to the snow with my sister and her family! Brandon only lasted about an hour and he was cold and ready to go. Thank goodness Auntie had HOT cocoa for the ride home (Mom was the only one to spill it, imagine that!).

We are so blessed and can't wait to see what God has in store for 2009! Hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season.
